Dramatic ironwork-inspired details sweep around your neck in this four-colour cowl. Simple horizontal slip-stitch cables play against vertical stripes of garter. There is both a neckwarmer size (smaller in circumference and height and meant to loop once to fit behind your jacket collar) and a cowl size (double looped, luscious, cozy). This cowl stands well because of the stitch patterns and has a good heft.

It’s knit side-to-side and then sewn together with a bit of overlap. Buttons are attached at the end and there are no button-holes to work. I’ve included directions and photos for sewing the cowl together since I know that worries about finishing can keep people away from something they otherwise love. It’s really simple and the photos make it super clear.
