Commissioned for the choir of historic Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia during Luke Carlson’s tenure as interim director, this setting of Psalm 41 is written for SATB choir with divisi and organ. The music mirrors the movement of the text—pleading and reverent in its opening, bold and triumphant by its close. A striking organ part supports radiant choral textures, weaving moments of vulnerability, strength, and praise into a cohesive and emotionally rich arc.
