WHAT HAPPENED WHEN A CLIMBER USED PTS BEFORE THE CRUX?

He knew the crux was coming.

So he used the Performance Trick Stick principle before reaching it, giving himself time to have PTS in place before the demand peaked.

His experience?

He reported moving through the crux smoothly — and went on to win the competition against the leading climber.

WHEN THE MOMENT DEMANDS STRENGTH

PTS fits the moments when you know the demanding effort is coming — and you want strength, power, focus or a steadier state available for the effort in front of you.

CLIMBING & BOULDERING

Before a crux or demanding move — give yourself time to have PTS ready before you need your greatest effort.

GYM & STRENGTH TRAINING

Before a heavy set or demanding effort when strength and force matter.

PRECISION & TARGET SPORTS

Before a controlled precision sequence when you want focus and a steadier state available for the task ahead.

TRAINING & PERFORMANCE MOMENTS

Before an effort you know will ask more of you — so you are not waiting until the demand has already peaked.

EVERYDAY STRENGTH MOMENTS

Before a safe, controlled task that calls for strength — such as lifting or moving something awkward or demanding.

GOOD TO KNOW

WHEN SHOULD I USE PTS?

Use PTS before a demanding effort, so it’s ready before the demand peaks — or during an appropriate controlled moment when it can be used safely.

DO I NEED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT?

PTS uses a simple, suitable tool. The guide shows you what to look for, how to choose one and how to build your own PTS kit so you can keep one ready where you’re most likely to need it.

WHAT MIGHT I NOTICE?

Pay attention to changes in strength and effort, focus, muscular tension, posture or breathing. Different people may notice different responses.

DO I HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE TO USE PTS?

No. PTS is built around performance and strength-demanding moments, but the guide also shows how the same principle can fit safe, controlled everyday strength situations.

DOES EVERYONE NOTICE THE SAME THING?

No. Individual responses vary. The point is to become familiar with your own pattern of response and notice what changes for you.

YOUR NEXT MOMENT WILL COME.

A crux. A heavy set. A precision task. An everyday strength moment.

A point where the effort in front of you demands more.

Performance Trick Stick - Review

It's easy to use the PTS. When I'm weight training at the gym, my benching becomes much more balanced, as both arm strength match. I notice the difference when I'm not using it. I was comfortable to add more weights after my first time using the PTS. My chest and shoulder development is now more symmetrical, so I am very happy with the results.
