Magical Number Potions

A little magic, a little colour, and LOTS of learning!

What happens when little learners become potion-making witches and wizards?

MAGICAL NUMBER POTIONS, of course!

Set includes:

1 x plain cauldron with numbers 1-10

4 x set of numbers 1-10 (1 each in green, orange, purple and grey)

4 x potions (1 each in green, orange, purple and grey)

4 x cauldrons with potion on (1 each in green, orange, purple and grey)

The children chose their favourite potion colour. They then searched for the matching coloured number disc and placed it onto their cauldron board to create their very own magical number potion!

But behind all that Halloween magic was some wonderful early learning!

Numeral matching and identification – recognising numerals and matching them to the correct disc.

Number recognition – becoming familiar with written numbers through playful, hands-on experiences.

Colour matching – identifying colours and matching them to create their chosen potion.

Decision-making and independence – making their own choices and taking ownership of their learning.

Counting skills – extend the activity by asking children to count the number discs, add more to their cauldron or find a specific number.
