Gradients A Deux

Gradients A Deux is a rectangular-shaped shawl consisting of simple lace paired with garter and stockinette stitch. The shawl is worked from the center out, in-the-round until the specified stitch count is achieved. Each side of the shawl is then worked separately. A series of increases and decreases along the right-side rows result in a zigzag pattern which accents the beautiful gradients’ color progressions and produces an unusual edging on the ends.

The brown/teal shawl is knit in Miss Babs Gradient in Yummy 2-ply Toes in colors Espresso (brown) and Sea Teal (teal). The charcoal/pink shawl is knit in colors Ursa Major (charcoal) and Canis Major (pink).

This shawl also lends itself to using up scrap yarn. You can also be creative and make up your own “gradient(s)” by picking out 12 individual skeins of Miss Babs 2-ply Toes.
