Yumi Shawl
Yumi is an asymmetrical triangular shawl with an arrow motif inspired by the Japanese pattern know as yagasuri or yabane. The shawl is worked flat from the cast on point to the fullest edge.
Pattern includes both charted and written instructions. Techniques required: increasing, ribbing, twisted stitches.
Accessibility: This pattern includes an additional digital pdf in an easy-to-read format. The easy-to-read format is written in 22 point sans serif font (Arial) in all black text, in a single column. It has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out. No charts are used for this version.

Gauge
One boxed repeat of chart (24 sts x 48 rows) is approximately 4.5” / 11.5 cm in width and 8” / 20.5 cm in length, after blocking
Needles
US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needle, 40” / 100 cm long. Note: It may be easier to begin with a shorter cable length and change to a longer one as needed.
Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge after blocking.
