Undulatus Shawl
Inspired by a lifetime of looking up at the skies, this shawl design is a knitted translation of a cloud phenomenon that resembles undulating waves or ripples. Known as undulatus, this formation can occur at varying altitudes.
Pattern includes written instructions only.
Accessibility: This pattern includes an additional digital pdf in an easy-to-read format. The easy-to-read format is written in 22 point sans serif font (Arial) in all black text, in a single column. It has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out, and fewer abbreviations are used.
Construction
Undulatus is a sideways triangular shawl that begins with the right point, with increases worked until the full depth is achieved. Then decreases are worked, ending with the left point. The diagonal lines of the motif are worked with knit and purl stitches, creating a fabric that is fully reversible.
