Craft Fair Profit Calculator Excel Spreadsheet, Market Vendor Planner with Hourly Earnings and Break-Even
Did your last market actually pay off?
DID THIS MARKET PAY OFF? is an easy-to-use Excel calculator for makers, artists and craft market sellers. See what you earned after costs — and after giving your own time a value.
Enter your sales, expenses and hours in the highlighted cells. The workbook calculates your results automatically.
WHAT IT CALCULATES
• Net revenue after refunds
• Total costs excluding your own pay
• Profit before accounting for your own time
• Total hours worked
• Effective hourly earnings
• The cost of your time at your chosen hourly rate
• Profit after your target pay
• Estimated break-even net revenue, before and including your time
WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
Sales, refunds, materials for goods sold, packaging, payment fees, stall fees, travel, parking, accommodation, paid help, allocated equipment costs and other event expenses.
Include your time spent making the stock sold, preparing, travelling, setting up, selling, packing down and following up.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
One Excel workbook (.xlsx) in English with three tabs:
- YOUR MARKET
- A clean calculator for your own event.
- EXAMPLE MARKET
- A completed fictional example showing how the calculations work.
- QUICK GUIDE
- Instructions, definitions and calculation assumptions.
HOW TO USE IT
- Download the Excel file.
- Open it in Microsoft Excel.
- Save a copy for your event.
- Fill in the amber input cells and review your results.
Your target hourly pay is optional. Leave it blank to see profit before accounting for your time and effective hourly earnings, or enter a rate to include the value of your work.
Use any single currency consistently. The currency label is editable and does not convert amounts. Save a fresh copy for each market.
ABOUT THE BREAK-EVEN ESTIMATE
The estimate uses your materials, packaging and payment fees as a percentage of net revenue. It assumes the same product mix and cost ratios, while other entered costs and working hours stay fixed.
Break-even is unavailable when net revenue is zero or negative, or when those variable costs equal or exceed net revenue.
