Boss GT-1 Patches for use with Boss IR-2!

This Live Set includes 8 presets (.tsl files) for the Boss GT-1 multi-effects unit.

In addition to the tones, you'll see a diagram of the connections used, settings in the IR-2 IR Loader program (available on the Boss website), and my suggestion for adjusting the Boss IR-2 to achieve Clean and Distortion tones of the BRIT Amp (1959 Super Lead-style tone) inspired by famous guitar tones, clean tones, and others.

Remember: The GT-1 is connected to the Boss IR-2 effects loop and handles only modulation, delay, reverb, noise suppressor, tuner, and volume pedal on the expression pedal. Therefore, the wah, compressor, overdrive, and distortions of the GT-1 are positioned after the IR-2 Preamp/Cab. The compressor can be used sparingly, but the overdrive/distortions cannot. This function falls to the IR-2 and external OD/DS/FZ pedals. The wah will depend on your personal taste as GT-1's wah comes after the IR-2. I prefer using an external wah pedal as the first pedal.

Preset 1:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 Slsh: Smoky Les Paul Shred & Howl Tones effects: Intro Delay, Riffs, Lead and clean (stereo chorus).

Preset 2:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 IRMD: Ironclad Riffs & Melodic Drive effects: Harmonist G/Em, Riffs, Lead and clean (stereo chorus).

Preset 3:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 Rock and Roll effects: Riffs and Lead.

Preset 4:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 Stereo Dotted Delay.

Preset 5:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 Clean, Riffs and Lead (Manual Mode).

Clean groove, flanger (clean or drive), CTL1 solo (clean or drive).

Preset 6:

Boss IR-2 BRIT Amp + Boss GT-1 Mono Dotted Delay.

Preset 7:

Boss IR-2 RECT Amp + Boss GT-1 EQ, Double Tracking for Riffs and CTL1 lead. MTLC: Massive Thrash Lead & Cataclysmic-Riff guitar tone.

Preset 8:

Boss IR-2 RECT Amp + Boss GT-1 Harmonist G/Em. MTLC: Massive Thrash Lead & Cataclysmic-Riff guitar tone.
