Enter your move date once and get a dated, week-by-week moving plan, a numbered box inventory with room codes, printable box labels and a list of everyone who needs your new address. Built for anyone moving home, whether you rent, buy or move across the country.

WHAT IT DOES

• Timeline: 47 moving tasks from 8 weeks before to 2 weeks after the move. Each task gets its own due date counted back from your move date. Mark tasks done; Overdue and Due this week flags update every day. Change any task's weeks or add up to 15 of your own.
• Box Inventory: 300 numbered boxes. Pick the room from a dropdown and the room code and colour fill in. Flag Fragile and Open first, tick Packed and Delivered. A summary counts boxes per room, packed, delivered and still on the truck.
• Printable Labels: 8 box labels per page, filled in from your inventory with box number, room code, room, contents, FRAGILE or OPEN FIRST and your new home label. Type the first box number and print.
• Address Changes: 33 organisations to tell (bank, employer, doctor, dentist, insurers, vehicle registration, tax authority, voters roll, schools, subscriptions, online shops and more) with an updated tick and date.
• Budget: three mover quotes side by side, pick one and it flows into your cost list. Planned versus actual for every moving cost, budget left, and deposits still to come back.
• Utilities & Meter Readings: readings, dates, account and meter numbers and a photo tick for both homes.
• Moving Day: an hour-by-hour plan and an essentials box list, both editable.

HOW TO USE IT

• An .xlsx spreadsheet with no macros. Tested in LibreOffice Calc; not yet opened in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Open the .xlsx in your spreadsheet app.
• Start with the Start Here tab, then fill in Settings.

• Digital download, nothing is posted. You print the labels yourself.
• Checked by recalculation.
• Task wording is general. Check notice periods, deadlines and requirements with your own landlord, mover, insurer and providers.
• Not affiliated with Google or Microsoft, or with any removal company.
• Different from our household budget planner: this one is for a single move, with dated tasks, boxes and labels.
