Once little more than marshland and fishing huts, Cap d’Agde has transformed into one of the largest and most vibrant marinas on the Mediterranean coast.

Its story began in the 1960s with France’s “Mission Racine” — a bold coastal development plan that turned this stretch of Languedoc shoreline into a modern seaside destination. By the early 1970s, the marina started to take shape — its 10 basins, quays, and islands carefully designed to welcome sailors, holidaymakers, and sun-seekers alike.

Today, Cap d’Agde Marina boasts over 3,000 berths, lively waterfront cafés, and a unique blend of sailing culture and Mediterranean charm — a true testament to visionary planning and seaside living at its best.
