Vicendum Almanac — Project Files Edition

The Vicendum Almanac is a working archive of a living alternate world — a deep dive into the systems, institutions, and stories that shape Vicendum beyond the surface narrative.

This edition contains the core project files used to build and maintain the universe, including its sports leagues, political blocs, power structures, and evolving timeline. It’s designed for readers who want to explore how the world actually functions, not just what happens in it.

What’s Inside

  • World Systems & Power Structures — how governments, corporations, leagues, and media influence each other
  • Sports & Institutions — internal logic behind major leagues, franchises, and governing bodies
  • Geography & States — regions, borders, and political identities across Vicendum
  • Character & Faction Notes — key players who shape events behind the scenes
  • Living Timeline — how past decisions ripple forward into the modern era

What This Is

This is not a novel.

It’s a reference archive, worldbuilding file, and creator’s desk — the kind of document normally kept behind the scenes.

Living Document

Vicendum is an evolving world. This Almanac reflects the state of the project at the time of release and may change as the universe grows, branches, and rewrites itself.

Who This Is For

  • Worldbuilding and alternate-history fans
  • Writers, designers, and roleplayers looking for deep, systemic lore
  • Readers who enjoy exploring fictional worlds through maps, institutions, and internal documents

Continuity and Narrative Notes

The Vicendum Almanac functions as a reference archive for the world of Vicendum.

Unless otherwise noted, most reference files describe institutions, systems, and public conditions as they exist prior to the events of the major story arcs.

The stories themselves depict how these institutions evolve or collapse over time. As a result, readers may encounter situations where narrative events appear to contradict the baseline state described in the reference documents. This is intentional: the Almanac reflects the world at the moment before the stories begin, while the stories reveal how that world changes.

Some sections of the Almanac may also contain summaries of future narrative arcs. These summaries may reference outcomes that occur after the baseline conditions described elsewhere in the archive. Because they outline stories that may still be in development, these summaries are subject to change as the narratives themselves are written.

Authorship & Process Note

Vicendum is a human-directed worldbuilding project created by Daniel Arnold. Texts within the Almanac were developed through iterative authorship, including original writing, revision, and AI-assisted drafting under direct creative control.

All material reflects a single curated canon. AI tools were used as collaborators, not as autonomous authors.

Step past the headlines. This is the file cabinet behind the world.
