Ruth Made Simple

"Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." (Ruth 1:16)

Ruth was a Moabite widow with no husband, no children, and no money, gleaning leftover grain in a field in Bethlehem. A thousand years later, her great-grandson was King David. Two thousand years after David, her name appears in the genealogy of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:5).

Ruth Made Simple is a plain-language, Bible-first guide to the book of Ruth. Across fourteen short chapters, you'll learn why loyalty that costs everything is the Bible's picture of steadfast love, how God provides through the generous margins He commands, what the kinsman-redeemer at the gate foreshadows about Jesus Christ, and how a foreign widow became an ancestor of the Messiah. Every chapter opens with Scripture and ends with one clear action step, because difficult information should be made simple for everyday people.

Gleaned. Redeemed. Restored. The God of Ruth is the God of today: the Father who provides, the Son who redeems, and the Spirit who renews.
