Roaring Fork is a stream in one of my favorite places: the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. The delicate flowing pattern on these socks reminds me of the rushing rapids of Roaring Fork. They are knit top down, with a German Short Row heel and a rounded toe. They are designed as ankle socks, but are easy to lengthen. This pattern is written using magic loop, but you can use whatever small circumference method you prefer!

Approx 215 (230, 265) yd / 200 (210, 245) m of fingering weight yarn
Sample used Queen’s Yarn Boutique Kiss Sock (75% Superwash Merino Wool/25% Nylon, 463 yd/100 g) in colorway Tesseract

32 sts and 40 rows / 4” (10 cm) in stockinette
