About Me
I grew up in a family of knitters, but it wasn’t until I had children of my own that I really embraced knitting. Once I started, knitting quickly became my passion. I love how knitting can be both relaxing, calming, and repetitive, as well as complex, stimulating, and technical. I enjoy learning new techniques and am constantly trying to adjust and improve my knitting.
Six years after I learned how to knit, when I was 37 years old, my world changed when I had a stroke. Besides all the other challenges, it was months until my dexterity improved enough to knit again, and I hadn’t realized how important my knitting was to me until then. Once I was able to knit again, I became a much more adventurous knitter, and decided to try designing my own patterns. I still enjoy knitting patterns from other designers, always trying to learn more and expand my skills, but I am having a wonderful time creating my own designs!
