Food Club: Story-Led Food Adventures for Little Learners
Playful food exploration through stories, play and cooking for children aged 1–4.
Story time can be so much more than reading a book.
Food Club combines carefully chosen children's stories, imaginative play, simple family recipes and evidence-based nutrition to create story-led food adventures that help young children explore food in a fun, relaxed and pressure-free way.
Created by a Registered Nutritionist and qualified Early Years Teacher, this unique play pack is filled with creative ideas that help children aged 1–4 become more familiar with a wide variety of foods through joyful, everyday experiences.
Stories create a relaxed, playful context where children can explore food without the pressure that sometimes comes with seeing it on their plate.

A gentle approach to food exploration
Food Club isn't about persuading children to eat particular foods or promising quick results.
Instead, it helps you create positive, pressure-free experiences with food through stories, play and cooking together.
The aim isn't to 'get' children to eat during the activities; it's to help food become familiar, interesting and enjoyable to explore.
As children become more familiar with a wide variety of foods in different ways, they gradually build confidence and curiosity over time. There is no expectation that they taste or eat anything during the activities. In fact, removing that pressure is an important part of the approach.
The goal is simply to have fun together while gently nurturing food familiarity.
Created by Emily
I'm Emily, a Registered Nutritionist (BSc Hons Nutrition), qualified Early Years Teacher, and mum of two.
Throughout my teaching career, I loved using stories to spark children's curiosity, imagination and learning. Combining that with my nutrition background felt like a natural fit.
Every activity inside Food Club has been carefully chosen to help children explore food through play in ways that are enjoyable, age-appropriate and developmentally informed.
These are the very books my own children asked for again and again, alongside activities we returned to countless times. Over the years, they gently helped my children become more familiar with a wide variety of foods while creating some of our happiest memories together. I hope they become favourites in your family too.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I receive?
As soon as your purchase is complete, you'll receive an email containing a link to download your ebook instantly, along with 2 additional linked resources. Download everything and revisit the activities whenever you like.
How long do the activities take?
It will vary from child to child because every child is different. They're perfect for rainy days, quiet mornings or those afternoons when you're wondering what to do together.
Many of the activities can be repeated and adapted, with children often noticing new things each time.
Will these activities encourage my child to eat new foods?
The aim isn't to persuade children to eat particular foods.
Instead, the activities gently build familiarity, confidence and curiosity around food over time. The focus is on enjoying the experience together rather than achieving a particular outcome.
My child is a very selective eater. Is this suitable?
Food Club is designed to help children build positive experiences with food through stories, play and cooking.
If your child eats an extremely limited range of foods, there's stress or tension around mealtimes and/or they currently have whole food groups missing, they'll usually benefit from more personalised support than this play pack can provide. In those situations, I'd recommend booking a 1:1 consultation so we can create an individual plan tailored to your child and family.
Do I need to buy the story books?
No. I've included free YouTube read-aloud links for every featured story, so you can get started straight away. If you decide you'd like your own copy, I've also included links to buy the books or find second-hand versions, but that's entirely optional.
What format is the ebook in?
The ebook is supplied as a PDF, so you can view it on your phone, tablet or computer. If you prefer, you're also welcome to print it for your own personal use.
Can I share this ebook with friends or family?
This ebook is for personal use only. Please don't copy, share, distribute or resell it. If someone you know would enjoy it, I'd be so grateful if you directed them to purchase their own copy.
Can I get a refund?
As this is a digital product that's available for immediate download, refunds can't usually be offered once your purchase has been completed.
If you experience any problems accessing your ebook, though, please get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
Are the recipes suitable for everyone?
The ebook includes one simple recipe linked to each story-led food adventure.
Please check all ingredients carefully and ensure they're suitable for your child's individual dietary needs or allergies. Always adapt foods to your child's stage of development and follow current guidance on food safety and choking prevention.

A final thought...
Some of the most valuable learning happens while reading the same favourite story for the tenth time, pretending to run a supermarket, stirring imaginary soup or making pizza together in the kitchen.
Food Club celebrates those moments.
Every story-led food adventure has been thoughtfully created using my experience as both a Registered Nutritionist and an Early Years Teacher, helping you turn everyday play into opportunities for food exploration, connection and joyful learning.
I hope these story-led food adventures become some of those special activities your family returns to again and again.
