Postcards from Partition
The history and details of Partition stir something inside me. I’m curious, I’m emotional, I’m amazed at the details, and I’m perpetually sanguine about the future. My family was ripped from their home, just as millions of others were, and today our ancestors ARE the history we talk about. But it was so much more than the movement and division of people. Narratives of culture, language, architecture, history, music and food were altered - some intentionally, and others in adjustment. Last year, I had the privilege of interviewing a series of incredible people, all of whom were either living in the aftermath, or studying and writing about Partition today.

Some of you may remember, that I prepared a dish everyday, to introduce and represent the speaker. So many of you asked for those recipes, with my Nani’s Gud Walnut Cake becoming especially sought after! To celebrate the recipes, stories and people, I’m so pleased to present a set of 16 beautifully illustrated recipe postcards - postcards from Partition, if you will. Each gorgeous postcard features an incredible custom illustration of the dish with a detailed recipe.
