The Leggy Dumpling is a Jellycat-inspired amigurumi pattern featuring a dumpling with legs. It makes a cute gift for foodies (especially Asian food enthusiasts) and those who love dumplings and Chinese steamed buns, or baos!

This doll is designed with bulky weight 5 chenille velvet yarn for a soft squishy look, and comes out to be similar in size to Jellycat plushes. However, it can also be crocheted with thinner yarn weights, cotton and acrylic fibers, and suitable hook sizes to produce a smaller keychain or bag charm sized plush!

The PDF pattern includes written crochet instructions and step-by-step photo references to guide you through the doll-making process.

Bulky weight 5 yarn in white and brown

(I used Lion Brand Yarn Posh Twist)

5mm crochet hook

9mm plastic safety eyes (x2)

Stuffing

Yarn needle

Scissors

STITCHES USED (US TERMS)

MR = magic ring

FO = fasten off

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)

hdc = half double crochet

FLO = front loops only
