Instrumentation: 3 parts in C, Bb, Eb, F, & Bass cleff (trio or flexible with part doublings)

Duration: ~ 2:05

Difficulty level: intermediate

A perfect addition to any Christmas or holiday concert repertoire, this piece is for intermediate level and up. Originally arranged for 3 flutes, this trio was adjusted to be playable for a trio C, Bb, Eb, F, or Bass Cleff instruments, including but not limited to flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, horn, and violin.

While the arrangement will work best with 3 instruments of the same kind, a mixed trio should delegate parts by range. For example, a trio consisting of flute, clarinet, and bassoon would take on parts 1, 2, and 3 respectively; a trio consisting of soprano sax, trombone, and bass clarinet might divide parts likewise. It is also possible to divide parts among a whole wind ensemble, however brass instruments are advised to conserve their embouchures by playing first from rehearsal letter C. If there are percussionists present, the mallets may read from the C part, while another percussionist might play the sleigh bells throughout.
