
About the Composer
Originally from New Hampshire in the United States, Adam Claussen is a composer, performer, and teacher based in Lübeck, Germany with a B.M. in jazz performance (University of Miami, 2019) and M.M. in film music (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, 2022).
Varying widely in genre, instrumentation, and difficulty level, Adam's music has been featured in short films, dance performances, and live concerts all over Europe and the US. Most recently he performed on stage in Cape Town, South Africa with Anderson Carvalho Dance & Choreography for the 2024 edition of Dance Intersect. This year's work entitled "Silent Symphony of Feelings" featured a 35 minute original soundtrack with improvisational saxophone live on stage.
Many of the works on this page were commissioned for specific ensembles with specific needs and limitations. As a woodwind player, Adam specializes in wind groups, but also loves composing for orchestra, percussion, choir-- you name it!
