The Zeila – Shipwreck on the Skeleton Coast, Namibia
Near Henties Bay, on Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, the rusting wreck of the Zeila sits stranded in the cold Atlantic surf. The fishing trawler ran aground here in 2008, and the ocean has been slowly claiming its hull ever since. Today a colony of cormorants has turned its masts and bridge into a nesting site.
