A favourite sweater with bold blocks of colour on the front, I’ve sized Avery up for an older crowd. Inset sleeves and full fashion shaping create a more sophisticated look and fit for school-aged children. The key design elements of corrugated ribbing and patterned sleeves made this one a best seller for the toddler set, and it looks just as good on the big kids. They’ll love the comfort, you’ll love the look.
This knitting pattern includes written directions, a colour chart for intarsia stitch pattern, detailed yardage requirements for each intarsia bobbin/section, and a schematic with measurements.

Substitution Notes
Choose a fingering weight/4-ply yarn with easy care instructions. Superwash wool and sock yarns (whether wool or cotton blends) will work wonderfully. The self-patterning yarn may be substituted with a solid colour, a variegated yarn or a gradient yarn.
Techniques
Increases/decreases, short rows, three needle bind off, working intarsia from chart, corrugated ribbing (stranded), basic set-in sleeve sweater construction, worked flat, bottom up, seaming, picking up stitches, neckband worked in the round.
