2. UPPING YOUR CORSETRY GAME - move into intermediate-level territory

This is a 15 page pdf article (5000 words) that talks a little more about perfecting your corsetry. It is ideal for beginners wanting to move on in their abilities. The corset construction manual is more of a technical document explaining the 'how to' whereas this article talks specifically about design and fit, and is more of a trouble-shooting guide for those who have made a few corsets and are looking for ways to improve their skills.

3. HOW TO DRAFT CORSET PATTERNS - move into more advanced territory

Using examples and YouTube 'walk-throughs', this 10,000 word (59 page) E book explains how Corsets by Caroline create their corset pattern designs. An under-bust pattern is created from measurements in the simplest way possible - by flat-patterning in two ways, and one is extended into an over-bust. This creates a measurement-accurate first draft for further testing with toiles. How a pattern can be tweaked and have its size changed is outlined, bra drafting (that can be used in cupped corsetry), pattern grading, and more complex pattern grading are covered. If you have a design that you would like to market commercially, this manual will help you get started.

This manual has been written to follow on from the ultimate corset making guides and will complete most of your knowledge required in the practise of this beautiful craft. The information can be used to inform both traditional and digital drafters (note that the technicalities of digital drafting is covered in detail in the Corseting the 21st century CAD guide). The following is the content list that will give you an idea of what is included;

Introduction
Example 1 – drafting a simple under-bust (flat patterning)
Extending the under-bust into an over-bust
Example 2 – using percentages & a spreadsheet to create a simple under-bust
Tweaks to panel shapes/ how to change a pattern’s size (YouTube tutorials)
Bra drafting overview (with YouTube links)
