Using examples and YouTube 'walk-throughs' of the CAD drafting on screen, this 10,000 word (59 page) E book explains how Corsets by Caroline create their corset pattern designs. An under-bust pattern is created from measurements in the simplest way possible - by flat-patterning in two ways, one of which is extended into an over-bust. This creates a measurement-accurate first draft for further testing with toiles. How a pattern can be tweaked and have its size changed is outlined, bra drafting (that can be used in cupped corsetry), pattern grading, and more complex pattern grading are covered. If you have a design that you would like to market commercially, this manual will help you get started. A simple under-bust pattern is also included to illustrate a commercial pattern.
