What sets this course apart from other craft journal courses is that we aren't just making books, we're creating rituals and workings, a portable paper ecology that evolves with your ideas and needs.
You don’t fill these pages; you work within them, like a spell, or a conversation.
Papermancy: Chapter One is designed to be a four-part online experience in analog creativity and cognitive ritual.
There will be weekly livestreams both to go over the material and answer questions, of course.
All essential course material can be accessed through modular video lessons and articles available in the course.
By the end of the four weeks, you’ll learn how to design and use your own tactile journaling system through binding, reflection, collage, and sensory design.
You’ll create your own small ecosystem of paper tools, with initial exercises like the "InkTrace" and "Dawnlines," created and facilitated by Gray.
Yes, at the end you’ll have a set of handmade tools — but more importantly, you'll have a repeatable practice of finding meaning by through the physical act of making, writing, drawing.
This workshop is designed to inspire and help any level of craft or journaling experience.
