HUMPFREE THE RAINBOW HUMPTY

This was the first crochet pattern I published, designed specifically to spread some colour and cheer to those in ‘creative quarantine’ during Easter and the UK lockdown in 2020.

I designed it with the hope that the story would help kids in lockdown feel a bit safer and happier about staying indoors. I also narrated a video on Youtube and my instagram page @hookanory so just search #humpfreetherainbowhumpty and you should find it! xx

I have designed it to be made with scrap stash yarn - each colour will only need around 10-15 yards of yarn, except the dark blue which requires a little more, around 25-30 yards.

If you wanted specific colours they are as follows: Stylecraft Special DK, Matador, Jaffa, Sunshine, Grass Green, Turquoise, Empire, Proper Purple and Lapis.

If you don’t fancy all those colour changes you could make Humpfree in a self striping yarn e.g. stylecraft merry-go-round dk in ‘rainbow’ or ‘starburst’, it looks just as bright and fun and is much easier especially if you’re just learning to crochet.
