Season of Resonance - Retune or Compost
A practice for moving from discernment into action
Not every discord is yours to fix, sometimes the off-note comes from within: fatigue, grief, fear, or an old habit still playing out. Other times, it belongs to the wider field: a workplace built on extraction, a relationship shaped by imbalance, a culture tuned to denial.
Retune or Compost helps you tell the difference and then act on what you've discerned. This practice works as a standalone tool, or as a follow-through to The Four Resonance Tests. If you've already identified which systems can be re-tuned and which belong in compost, this practice helps you do the actual work of tending or releasing.
What's Inside
Through a four-step process, you'll move from reflection to action:
Step 1: Personal Audit: Am I the off-note? Examine what in you was activated.
Step 2: Systemic Audit: Is the field out of tune? Widen the lens to see if the dissonance belongs to the system itself.
Step 3: The Fork of Discernment: Name one thing to re-tune and one thing to compost.
Step 4: Collective Ritual (Optional): Gather others to name what to keep, what to retune, and what to release.
This is not about perfection, it is about the courage to discern between what can be tuned and what must be laid down. This practice can be done alone or with others. It takes 20+ minutes, and it asks you to move from reflection into choice.
Resonance isn't perfection; it's the willingness to name what's true, and to act on it with care.
