A sweater vest in fluffy Honeycomb Brioche.

The vest is knit from the bottom up in two-color Honeycomb Brioche with one-color Brioche ribbing details along the hem, armholes, and the scoop neckline. The split hem is knit flat in two pieces. The lower part of the body is knit in the round, then the front and back are split and worked flat with armhole and neckline shaping. After the shoulder seams are closed, stitches are picked up and worked in one-color Brioche in the main color for the ribbing along the armholes and neckline.

The vest has a straight, relaxed fit with a recommended positive ease of 5-10 cm/2-4 inches at the bust. Choose a size based on the bust circumference. If the desired shoulder width does not match the chosen size, work more or fewer armhole decreases to achieve the desired results.

I recommend using (semi-)solid main color in a plied Aran-weight wool or wool-blend yarn and a variegated or (semi-)solid contrasting color in a fluffy Lace-weight Mohair blend. Alternatively to mohair, a non-fluffy Lace-weight yarn can be used.

Ein Pullunder im flauschigen Netzpatent.

Die Weste wird von unten nach oben im zweifarbigem Netzpatent mit einfarbigen Brioche-Rippen entlang des Saums, der Ärmel- und des Halsausschnitts. Der geteilte Saum wird flach in zwei Teilen gestrickt. Der untere Teil des Körpers wird bis zur Ärmeläffnung in Runden gestrickt, anschließend werden Vorder- und Rückseite separat flach gearbeitet. Nachdem die Schulternähte geschlossen sind, werden Maschen aufgenommen und die Ausschnitte mit einem einfarbigen Patent-Rippenmuster abgeschlossen.

Die Weste hat eine gerade, lockere Passform mit einer empfohlenen Zugabe von 5-10 cm/2-4 Zoll zum Brustumfang (Körpermaß). Wähle eine Größe basierend auf dem Brustumfang. Bei Bedarf kann die Schulterbreite durch weniger/mehr Armlochabnahmen angepasst werden.

Verwende als Hauptfarbe ein dickeres, einfarbiges Woll- oder Wollmischgarn in einer dunkleren Farbe, kombiniert mit einer helleren Kontrastfarbe in einem ein- oder mehrfarbigem Mohair-Lace-Garn. Alternativ kann auch ein nicht-flauschiges Lace-Garn verwendet werden.
