The Love of My Life

The title is a bit of a fib because it is Jesus who is the love of my life and His Father Yahweh and my children.

However my dogs come very close 3rd or 4th or 5th.

To the point where sometimes we put up with a lot from our dogs/pets. Even to the detriment of our health.

Because we love them.

But putting up with sleepless nights for years on end, and barking and agression and escapism and so on... why?

I put up with a lot from my animals because the children were in love with them and because I felt that if only I did this or that or changed this or that, it would all be better.

But despite all the training sessions for both me and my dog, I never quite managed to get to that sweet spot where the animal was a joy and not a bother.

This is untill my new puppy came along and she reminded me of my other dog Song. And this is when I eventually realised that sometimes we just aren’t a good match. The same way this happens with people also.

I dare say that my new puppy and I are a perfect match, she puts a smile on my face quaranteed every single day and makes my life easier, and better, and not harder.

I wrote this book because I am so grateful to my friend Lyn who took me to the Pound for advice. And I am so grateful to my new puppy for being the dog she is... my bestie.
