Twenty-five traceable figure studies for artists — because drawing people is where most of us quietly give up.

WHAT'S INSIDE — 25 A4 TEMPLATES

Leaning, crouching, jumping and dancing poses

Three quick gesture studies built on the line of action

An eight-head proportion chart you can measure against

A torso construction sheet — ribcage box, pelvis box and the spine between them

A hip-and-shoulder tilt comparison

Three separate proportion pages: an adult male, an adult female, and a child beside an adult

A foreshortening study and a reaching-forward study

A twisting torso for practising rotation

HOW TO USE

Print at 100% — choose "actual size", not "fit to page". Trace straight over the top with a soft pencil, or slip the page under a sheet of layout paper and work from it. In Procreate, drop a template in as a layer, lower the opacity and draw on a layer above it. The outlines are clean enough to paint over with watercolour if you print them on heavier paper.

Find the line of action first, block the ribcage and pelvis in as two simple boxes, then hang the limbs off them. Drop a vertical from the pit of the neck and make sure it lands over the supporting foot — that single check fixes most poses that look like they are toppling over.

PERFECT FOR

Portrait and character practice, sketchbook study pages, life-drawing warm-ups, gesture drills, and anyone whose figures keep coming out stiff, short-legged or strangely balanced.

Personal use and small-shop crafting are both welcome. Please don't resell or share the files themselves.

HOW THESE ARE MADE
