Build your own swatch library, one swatch at a time.

This free worksheet is the heart of the Swatch Library Project. It gives each swatch a place to record what you used, what you did, and what you learned, so that next time you don't have to guess how a yarn or stitch will behave.

What's inside (3-page PDF):

- Yarn: name, colorway, lot, brand, weight, put-up, and fiber

- Tool: size, material, and brand

- Stitch: name, source, number of stitches and rows, and the stitch repeat

- Before blocking: overall size and gauge (stitches, rows, and the size you measured)

- Blocking: the method you used

- After blocking: overall size, weight, and gauge

- Notes: room for yarn, stitch, tool, and swatch notes, plus a big open space for everything else

Print one for every swatch, and keep them in a binder with the swatches themselves. Over time you'll have a reference library made from your own hands.

The worksheet is free. If you find it useful and want to support more projects like this, you're welcome to pay what you like.
