Walk in Philadelphia # 10, from Haverford to Bryn Mawr
This self-guided tour of approximately 4 miles takes you through a section of affluent suburbs along the stretch known as the "Main Line."
The route connects two private universities—both featuring stunning, nature-filled campuses—renowned for their academic rigor and liberal arts programs.
To get there, you will need to take the train that follows the route of the historic Pennsylvania Railroad.
Once you arrive—and whenever you are not exploring the campuses themselves—you will walk along tree-lined streets flanked by magnificent stately homes.
It offers a complete change of scenery if you are looking to escape the city for a half-day.
