A fast tabletop football game. One d20, four quarters to a match, and about five minutes to play one. A full eighteen-week season is something you can pick up and put down for months.

Nothing to work out mid-game. Every team carries three numbers, and the modifier for all 272 fixtures is already printed beside the game. You roll and you read.

The complete 2025 NFL season is in the box. All thirty-two teams rated from what actually happened, built from Pro Football Reference's opponent-adjusted figures, so a team that scored freely against good defences is not treated like one that managed it against poor ones. Every game scheduled, blank standings, the fourteen-team bracket, and the real final tables kept in their own book so you can put your season next to the genuine one afterwards.

Then a second complete season that nobody has ever played. The Metro Football League was founded in 1975 by eleven owners who could not get a franchise anywhere else, and in 2025 it plays its fiftieth. Thirty-two clubs, 272 games, and not one of its cities has ever had an NFL team. It runs the same engine with nothing new to learn, and there is no answer printed in the back.

And it no longer has to be a league somebody else has rated. Book 8 turns any real league's results into the three numbers the game needs, from nothing but points scored and conceded. A school league, a college conference, something from ninety years ago.

Five tables come with it, because a rating tells you how good a side was and not how much football its league scored. This book contains scoring tables for Leather Era, Post-War, Modern NFL, High School and College.

When all of that is finished, build your own. Roll cities, nicknames, colours, ratings, rivalries and a trophy, choose a structure from eight to twenty-four teams, and play a league that never existed. It gives the engine somewhere to go once the real seasons run out.

Three browser apps come with it, all offline, nothing to install. Play a Game rolls animated dice, keeps the scoreboard, narrates what happened, and now lets you switch era or type in your own scoring table. The Team Card Creator prints your own cards, nine to an A4 page. And the Scoring Table Builder tells you what a table will score before you commit a season to it.
