Walk in NYC # 8, Gramercy, Stuyvesant, Kips Bay
This walk takes you off the beaten path into everyday Manhattan and explores mostly residential parts of Midtown: Gramercy, Stuyvesant Town, Kips Bay, Rose Hill.
Once you arrive along the East River, it offers you the option of taking a ferry to other parts of the city if you want to shorten the journey.
You will discover a private park and beautiful homes, second-hand clothing and furniture shops, clusters of red brick buildings that make a city within a city, the promenade along the East River and, if you don’t take the ferry, a spice shop that is probably unique in the world.
NB: if you have not already done so on another site, you can read the philosophy and general content of this itinerary by opening the “About the walks” link above or below.
