Sometimes it's easier to admit your defeat to others than to yourself.
The poet feels a lack of will to continue through a life that seems to spin in circles, like almost everything, or perhaps even everything.
For some things, we may never know if they truly go in circles or through an infinite loop.
Always the same memories or memoirs (a bit of French), and as it usually is, the same paths, especially te same feet that tread upon you throughout your life.
Until you simply remove yourself from their path or cast them out of your life.
Often, like many others, I have followed other people's values.
Yes, I admit I still do this today, even though I try not to or to do it as little as possible, and instead follow my own values.
But sometimes I succeed, and sometimes I don’t.
