Sicilian-ish for Recorder Trio (SSB) -- full score

Sicilian-ish is inspired by the siciliana, a Baroque dance in 6/8 meter also known as sicilienne, siciliano, or sizilianisch. Here, the meter has been truncated to 5/8, to give the dance a lilting, almost Balkan feel. Although most of the piece is Classical or Romantic in affect, the soprano parts at K are inspired by hoquetus of the 12th and 13th centuries.
