ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Vendaval shawl is a fun and interesting shawl pattern with an elegant and easy to memorize lace pattern.

SIZE & YARDAGE
107” x 30”/267.5 cm x 75 cm (wingspan x depth)
A total of 990 yd/900 m of fingering weight yarn in 3 colors.
330 yd/300 m of each color.

Sample features Miss Babs Holston 55% Silk 45% BFL 437 yd/3.5 oz (400 m/100 g) in colorways A: Bougainvillea (purple), B: Blooming Pansies (variegated), C: Blusher (light speckles).

NEEDLES
3.75 mm/US 5 or size needed to obtain gauge.
Circular needles with 80 cm/32 inches cable length recommended to accommodate all stitches comfortably.

NOTIONS
blocking tools of your preference, scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle

GAUGE
20 stitches x 39 rows in 4”/10 cm after blocking in garter stitch.

Even though gauge is not crucial to this project, changes in it will affect your yardage requirements and your final measurements.
