This graphic lap blanket is worked in four bold colours to create a striking design that will be at home in any stylish living space. The central panel is knitted first, then the side borders are knitted on. Finally, a pop of colour is added with a knitted-on edging.

Lighthouse Blanket was inspired by images from the covers of different editions of ‘To the Lighthouse’ by Virginia Woolf to create this stranded design and was first published in Knit Now Magazine Issue 45 in March 2015.
Suggested Yarn: Jamieson’s of Shetland, Shetland Heather (100% Shetland wool, 92m/50g)
Yarn A: Oceanic 8096, 1 ball
Yarn B: Natural White 7984, 2 balls
Yarn C: Shetland Black 7581, 2 balls
Yarn D: Gingersnap 7673, 2 balls
Needles: 5mm (US 8) 80cm circular needle AND 4mm (US 6) 150cm circular needle (for edging)
Notions: 3 stitch markers, Tapestry needle
Tension: 10cm = 19 sts x 21 rows over stranded colour pattern on larger needles.
