Cochlea & Eustachia appear to be twin human girls—but that remains unconfirmed. Their actions seem less driven by curiosity than by boredom and a restless urge for mischief, if not outright destruction. Any deeper purpose they might have is still a mystery. They never stray far from each other, bound by an unspoken instinct—perhaps a mix of vanity and comfort, drawn together by their own resemblance. To them, creatures who look different are suspect at best, incompetent at worst. There are whispers that they can hypnotize cats. Yet, while their meddling may be relentless, it never feels truly malicious.
