A city under siege, the royal army all but destroyed and an endless hoard of bandits at the gate.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity for Kruna, Derrin, Elendiere and Gnorman to redeem themselves and get back onto the hero's path as they level up their characters in their next session of Dragons in Dungeons. It's not going to be easy though, because even though they are secretly all dragons in disguise it rather goes against the spirit of the game to eat all the bandits.

Armed with the knowledge that a new bandit king has risen to power in the north, and goes by the somewhat ambiguous title of 'Knife', Kruna and the others have to come up with a cunning plan to sneak past his army and cut off the head of this metaphorical snake before the kingdom is overrun. A task far easier said than done when you have a wizard with a twitchy spell finger and a Dwarf covered in armour on your team.

Will our adventurers manage to be stealthy? Can they find the Knife? Will Gnorman ever get the stains out of his robes?

Find out in the second instalment of Dragons in Dungeons!

Closest way to experience the DnD table without being there!

I went in expecting DnD fun, table shenanigans, tense die rolls, frantically flipping through the rulebook to find that obscure ability you KNOW you took as your last feat... I got it and more in this tale of adventurers making their way through the world, leveling up and solving mysteries for the good of the game. Er, I mean world.

Our gang arrives at a city to find the ground around it slightly singed after a bandit attack. Volunteering to solve this problem for the duke, they make their way to the bandit camp, traversing a dangerous cave of traps and secrets to reach their mysterious leader.

Favourite parts are definitely the banter between the group, particularly anything to do with Gnorman, who I hope is the POV character for the next installment!
Give this series a try, it's like being around the table with your mates playing a dungeon!

Hilarious with great characters

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Knife with a Thousand Blades is the second book in the Dragons in Dungeons-series. And again it is a highly entertaining and fun read. Personally, I liked it even better than the first book in the series, probably because the characters are already established and can act out more and sharpen their profile or rather their personality. And talking of personality: We have a change in perspective here. The first book was written from Kruna’s POV, a veteran ‘orc’ who seems to have some experience with the whole situation. This book is written from Derrin’s perspective, a newbie dwarven adventurer. The change in perspective is probably also a reason why I enjoyed this book even more, because very often Derrin acts out of character (at least in his thoughts) and therefore unpredictable. It’s what makes this book so much fun. The dynamic between the characters in general is great. The quest here is also more intriguing, there is more action and more slapstick. And suspense, especially thanks to the epilogue.
Again, you don’t need to be a role player to enjoy this read (but you might get an extra kick out of it).

Another charming adventure for the series

This is book 2 in the delightful Dragons in Dungeons series and picks up straight after the events in book 1.

Whilst the gang is on the run from their previous mishap they stumble upon their next adventure.
To help save a burning City they agree to track down the army of bandits responsible and their elusive leader 'the knife'. Easy enough apart from a cave of horrors, monstrous creatures, being poisoned, and necromancers work at play.

This merry gang must work together again to save the good and battle evil, and this time they might complete their quest successfully and get paid... and maybe Gnormans cloak will survive too.

Another charming adventure with the lovable characters! Hoping to read more soon!
