Love Dances for Cello and Contrabass

Love Dances is written for Cello e Basso (Emmanuel Feldman, cello and Pascale Delache Feldman. Contrabass) and is dedicate to the memory of my friend, composer Dana Brayton. This piece is about relationships. Each of the three movements depicts the different stages people go through in developing close relationships. “Seductive Tango” tells of the excitement of the first encounter, sexy seductive and playful. “Wild Dance” is the movement when things really get going. It depicts the fun and excitement of a new relationship and “Love Aria” speaks of deepening love and true understanding between partners, the most satisfying part of the relationship.
