Kitson Hootdraw: Owl Card Adventure (Browser, Offline, No Ads)
Most card adventures on a phone sell you card packs, energy and "watch an ad for a reroll". Hootdraw doesn't. Buy it once and it's yours, and nobody gets hurt.
Scoop the barn owl crosses the Night Woods to wake the Moon Tree. On the way she meets grumpy forest spirits: a toad who wants the pond to himself, a gustling blowing leaves everywhere, a storm that has not slept in a hundred nights, and a fox who thinks he is far too clever for an owl. You settle each one with cards: Hoot adds Calm, Glide and Feather Shield give Hush, Listen draws more cards. Fill the spirit's Calm meter and it settles down; the fox is out-witted and trots off. Chain your cards and Echoes for one big Moonsong that fills the meter in a single turn.
Try it free first: play Act 1, the Night Woods, in your browser at kitson-workshop.pages.dev/owls/hootdraw/

Easy enough for little ones, deep enough for grown-ups
- One big START button. The first spirit teaches itself: a finger shows "tap a card", then "tap the spirit", one line per idea, and the first two spirits are so sleepy they cannot be lost.
- Pick your path on a branching map: spirits, cosy Hollows to nap or preen in, whispers on the path, trinkets, and the act's big spirit at the end.
- After each spirit, keep 1 of 3 new cards. Remove cards at a Hollow. Build Echo chains, Glow, Hush and Sleepy combos.
- 3 acts: the Night Woods, the Misty Marsh and Moon Hill, each with its own spirits, its elite and its big spirit.
- 4 owls to earn, each with her own 40-card pool: Scoop (listening and echoes), Ember (warmth and Glow), Pell (tiny, nimble, lots of Breath), Gran Tawny (big Hushes and slow songs). Earned, never sold.
- 60 trinkets to find, 10 Ascent levels that make the woods wilder, a daily seeded run (the same woods for everyone each day) and a compendium of every card, trinket and spirit.
- Kid-safe: spirits are calmed, not beaten. If Scoop's Courage runs out she simply flies home to rest and remembers what she learned.
- Nothing to buy inside the game, ever: no card packs, no energy, no ads.
- Touch (tap a card, tap the spirit) and keyboard. Turns can end themselves, reduced motion, large text, a save code, and a run in progress is saved.
