Presented as a world map, the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), or primordial radiation, is dissected into a geophysical-style layout. Features are named like continents and seas, inspired by the constellations beneath them. A gradient of blues and browns represents temperature variations, set against a dark, starry backdrop.
