Hot Cider Hat

Tendrils of steam rise from your cup of hot cider and warm your heart as well as your taste buds. Fall is everywhere, and you’re cozy in your knitwear with a warm heart to match.

Worked in the round from the brim to the top in DK yarn, the hat is worked with stranded colorwork in 2 colors. Choose either a short ribbing, or a deeper ribbing that can be folded either under or upward (to keep your ears warmer). Three sizes are offered, and more flexibility with size can be achieved by using a different weight of yarn and/or an alternate gauge—see the handy chart on the next page to help you out with different gauges.

Materials:

1 skein EACH of Miss Babs Yowza Minis (199 yds/80 g) in the Main color (MC, shown in Plover above; Russet below), and in the Contrasting Color (CC, shown in Wildcat (top photo); Catskills Hike brown hat), or

Approximately 120(135, 150) yards of the MC, and 70(80, 90) yards of the CC in DK weight yarn.

Set of size 6 (4.0 mm) double pointed needles (dpns) or size required to obtain gauge,

Set of size 5 (3.75 mm) dpns or one-size-smaller than required to obtain gauge,

A tapestry needle, and a locking, removable stitch marker
