Cairdeas gu brath - Wristwarmers
Celebrating the power of friendship plus the warmth of beautiful Tuath, a 100% Shetland Wool, Kirsty (Shilasdair Yarns) and I have created these beautiful wrist-warmers. They represent an affirmation of our growing friendship signified by bands of colour, replicating the tradition of friendship bracelets. Our friendship started two years ago when I visited the Isle of Skye and has grown into a bond of mutual understanding, generosity, kindness and affection. It is growing stronger all the time and we love working together on different projects, showing off the beauty of Kirsty’s hand-dyed yarn in my classic, understated designs.
The warmers offer a relaxing knit, incorporating simple stitches and patterns of interest. They are a fairly quick little project, and every stitch takes you closer to wearing something warm and beautiful.
