Come Home to Nature & Your Body
As a former mental health professional with a background in environmental studies and forest therapy, I know that the world deeply needs this program.
After working in the fields of domestic violence and addictions, I saw how nature connection was invaluable to many of my clients.
I created this program through synthesizing current research on how nature connection profoundly shapes our nervous system and brain, offering a blend of somatics, neuroscience, and nature connection practice.
I break down the science into manageable lessons, coupled with experiential practices to give you a full understanding of this field.
If you are interested in somatics, forest therapy, psychology, holistic or alternative healthcare, and have a deep love of nature, this program is for you.
Ecosomatics is a relatively new field that holds an immense wealth of wisdom for holistic well-being - we're just getting started.
Get ahead of the curve and learn the new science that is projected to revolutionize the way we approach holistic health.
Course curriculum
This course teaches the theory and experiential practice of Ecosomatics, specifically focusing on the interaction of nature and the nervous system.
This is an integration of somatic practice and the science of how nature can support us in nervous system tending and neuroplasticity.

Day 1: Introduction to Ecosomatics
Core principles and orientation to the field of ecosomatics.
Day 2: The Nervous System in Nature

Day 3: Nature as Anchor
An overview of nervous system tending with nature, with specific focus on anchoring into safety and co-regulation with nature.
Day 4: Your Brain on Nature
An exploration of how nature affects the brain, including brain wave states, attention restoration, improving cognitive ability and memory, and brain-heart coherence.
Day 5: Contingency and Witnessing with Nature
An overview of contingency as a psychological concept of being seen and understood, and how we can work with nature to expand our capacity of feeling witnessed and held by the natural world.

Day 9: Neuroplasticity Basics
An overview of neuroplasticity and how the brain changes and responds to life experiences.

An exploration of how nature can influence neuroplastic processes, and enhance our ability to create change in our minds, bodies, and lives.
Day 11: Somatic Resourcing with Nature
Supportive practices for nature-led somatic resourcing to navigate our inner landscapes, and cultivate embodied nature connection practice through visualization and nature-guided imagery.

Completion of the material, and how to integrate your learning through embodied exploration. Next steps for creating your own personal practice, and/or implementing ecosomatic techniques with your own clients.
Bonus Module: Implementing Ecosomatic Practices with Clients
In this bonus module, we'll talk about how to integrate ecosomatic techniques and practices with clients, specifically for coaching and nervous system education. This will include an overview of:
- Determining scope of practice and licensure
- How to create a container anchored in safety for ecosomatic work
- Determing clients' previous nature connection practices and experience as a guideline for where to start
- Working with both guided imagery and outdoor exercises
- Follow-up to support clients with ongoing ecosomatic exploration
NOTE: this is not a professional certification or training. If you are already working in the capacity of a wellness practitioner (coach, educator, therapist etc.), then you will be able to implement many of these techniques into your existing practice.

About Robyn:
I am an Ecosomatics Educator with a background in Social Work, Somatics, Environmental Studies, and Psychotherapy/Ecotherapy. During my career, I frequently offered Ecotherapy to my clients, which showed me the powerful potential of integrating nature connection into therapeutic work.
During the last twenty years, I have also spent thousands of hours in direct communion with wild nature across the UK and Canada. This has deeply informed my personal practice and application of this work in a very real way to navigate life's ups and downs.
After surviving cancer in 2025, I knew I wanted to specialize in this area, and gained additional training in Forest Therapy alongside developing the Somatic Nature program.
My mission is to make comprehensive Ecosomatic theory and practice mainstream in today's world as a form of care, as the industrial west starts to wake up to the immense power of nature connection for our healing and well-being.
I am also a single mother co-parenting three sweet daughters, and an avid student of my earth-based ancestral traditions (Gaelic Animism). I live between Grey County, Ontario, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
