Both patterns are designed to fit a 3.5” plastic Easter egg and call for two colors of fingering weight yarn. While Egging Around features a stranded colorwork design, the Candy Stripe Egg is designed with beginner knitters in mind and uses simple stripes as a design motif. I designed Candy Stripe Eggs to be more inclusive, since not all knitters feel comfortable with stranded knitting.
