Do “weird” Task 1 questions make you panic?
Most IELTS students prepare for charts and graphs… but then the exam throws something different:
- A map showing how a town changed 🗺️
- A process diagram of how energy is produced 🔄
- A natural cycle about fish eggs 🐟
- An airport expansion floorplan 🏗️
- A diagram of Stone Age tools 😲
And suddenly…
❌ You feel unprepared and overwhelmed
❌ You worry your score will drop — even though your writing is strong
These unusual questions can seriously hurt your score if you’re not ready.

🧑🏫 Built by a trusted IELTS tutor
After years of teaching Academic IELTS, I’ve seen bright, well-prepared students lose marks — not because of their grammar or ideas, but because they’d never practised unusual Task 1 question types.
That’s why I created these lessons:
✔️ To show you how to recognise what matters in maps, cycles and processes
✔️ To give you the exact language examiners reward
✔️ To prepare you for the questions that make other candidates panic
It gives you the same step-by-step guidance I use with my one-to-one students — but in a self-paced format you can follow anytime.
