Humans have long ignored and denied the existence of the halfbeasts, a species caught in between humanity and their godlike, animalistic parents. Sometimes, the silence about halfbeasts is spawned by ignorance. Other times, it’s born of necessity or hatred. Regardless of the reason, the animosity between the species only grows after the murder of an 11 year old girl, but some loud voices will still challenge the age-old belief that humanity has rule over all living things.
