Welcome to TimBOOKtu Storytime Village

While all families and children are welcome,

TimBOOKtu Storytime Village / Modern Griots™ brings culturally affirming storytelling directly to early childhood programs, schools, and community spaces. Through interactive author visits, children experience stories that center Black children and families(not excluding others, but centering Black children as the center of our stories), encourage their voices, and turn reading into conversation, participation, and hands-on learning.

This visit features Amari and the Power of No, followed by an age-appropriate activity exploring big feelings, boundaries, safe choices, respect, and the power of a child’s voice. The interactive visit package includes a copy of the author's book that will be shipped to the client's preferred delivery location as well as the accompanying activity card download.
